The Horse Flu that has stopped racing in Melbourne and horse movements in Queensland has been detected in a small farm on the outskirts of Hobart. All has been quarantined, while horse movements have been restricted to a minimal. Police have asked that horse shows be canceled or post-poned. The well known equestrian center have been celebrating as the two stolen horses have been returned. Police still do not know who the criminal is, but the two horses were found tied up outside the stables with ropes. The horses are being checked by a vet, and it is feared they might have horse flu.
Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:
Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd. Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel. Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd. Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.
We are also accepting staff applications for Global Moderators, Graphics Designers and Skin Designer.
What's going on... ?
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?

Name: Untouched Isle Link:http://untouchedisle.proboards45.com/index.cgi? Started: Feb 17th 2008 Members: 70+ Admin: Soots Theme: Wild Fantasy Horse RPG Past: In the middle of the sea not far from the equator there lies an island. Untouched by the rest of the world. Its natural ocupants are decendants that have evolved though time for millions of years. Which vairy from the mountains goats to the sea iguanas that crawl over the rocks on the beaches. It is governed by no more and no less than ten immortals. There are the leaders Antiau and Morkal. Antiau the goddess of the skies and heaven. Morkal the god of the earth and underworld. The other eight are split into elements. Fire. Earth. Air. Water. These immortal shape shifters, being shifters can come in any shape or form. Many claim they have seen these beings but many never really knew. For years they have lived along side each other in harmony, studying the ways and wills of mortals. Manipulating the mortals below to their own will, maybe spreading rumors and starting fights or helping love run its course. Who knows, only the gods of course. The good times have now past though and the immortals are finding it boring to just cause minor things to happen. They are starting to fight amoung themselves. The different elements against each other. An earth immortal might annoy a fire immortal and before you know it a fire has broken out in a forest.
Around 200 years ago a cavalery war ship sailed off course as a tropical storm took hold of the sea. The waves soon grew and directed the ship in land towards the isle. Helpless against the reefs the war ship was soon crushed. Many beings died that day, humans and horses but a few horses managed to fight against the tides and find themselves safely on the beach. Out of the 1000 humans and near enough the same amount of horses, a meer 100 give or take survived. Their decendants still roam the Isle. The gods favoured these new creatures, liking their differences. Vita and Nyteic ruled in balance until the birth of two children. The first, Jeremiah, had a golden coat and a heart to match. Layla contradicted her brother with a fiery cold heart, highlighted by a crimson pelt. Both foals carried on the trait of immortality, only having weakness or mercy to the other.
After two years of torture from his sister, Jeremiah could take no more and felt his life was in danger, took flight and went into hiding in hopes of finding other equines of his kind. In anger, Layla took to the opposite side of the land, seeking destruction and an army to destroy her kin.
It was at this time that other equines, with good, balanced or evil hearts, began to appear and all lived a simple protected life until the unthinkable happened.
Vita, the immortal white Goddess, was dead. Killed by the trickery and malice of Oriel and Dark Prince and Layla the Dark Princess, the lands of Dawn were struck with the dreadful thought of losing one of their Gods. The lights no longer held the protection of the white dove, and Nyteic was sent into a mad rage of depression as his love is gone. Yet there is one thing that the darks did not count on, and that is that Vita is not completely gone, for her soul runs within the wind and water as she is still an immortal being created by the World itself. The future is untold but with that comes revenge. So now that the Downfall has occurred, where will your path lead you? To the growing disease of the darks, or to the dwindling forces of the light? Choose carefully, for the wrong move might take your life.
A new plot is unfolding as we speak and a new era in Dawn is about to begin.
Jaharaah... it calls for you. « Result #9 on Jan 5, 2008, 5:52pm »
Legend has it that there was once weapon so terrible that it even struck fear in the hearts of the Gods. Its name was Ahnakatti, which in the ancient language translates roughly as "Deity's bane." The immortals sealed it away in the heart of Jaharaah, hoping that its vengeful wrath may never find another being. For ages, all went well. Ahnakatti was never discovered during those years... but little did the Gods know that it was simply biding its time.
Centuries later, it called out to a human-- a human who wanted nothing more than to save his homeland from bloodthirsty demons. With the help of the powerful Ahnakatti, he succeeded in driving them away. However, he befell a horrid fate; the human who sought peace among his people became a slave to the very weapon which banished his enemies.
The Gods could not allow this. The hero had saved Jaharaah-- he should not have had to suffer such a gruesome destiny. They summoned the mighty dragons, who fought a devastating battle against the human. In the end, the beasts won, although the human's life was lost. Drowned in despair, all races-- human, elf, dwarf, dragon and God alike-- prepared a kingly burial for the hero. In the midst of their grief, they failed to notice that Ahnakatti was missing.
And to this very day, Deity's bane is still lost. But many have claimed to hear its voice... a call that is both tempting and fatal.
There are two sorts of characters you can choose from for this RP.
1. You can play a character from Jaharaah. These characters of many races have lived in Jaharaah-- their families have lived there, and they will continue to live there. They all fit into some sort of social class there, whether it be royalty, nobility, common folk, etc. Once sorted into a social class, there are many jobs to choose from-- most beings learn some art of fighting (either magic or weapon) so they can defend themselves. There are many fighting classes your character may fit into. These characters will ban together and put forth their efforts to save the world from destruction.
2. You can play a human character from earth in 2007. This is where the creative plot twists come in. The storyline is about a great evil spreading through the lands of Jaharaah. Help is called for from a great dragon named Imber. He sends telepathic messages to those who he thinks are worthy in another world (aka Earth as we know it). These teens he calls for are magically whisked away, and end up in Jaharaah-- Imber expects them to save his home. They will become familiar with those of Jaharaah, form alliances, train to become warriors and set off on an incredible journey.
The Continent: Jaharaah is specifically defined for roleplaying purposes.
Races: There are a variety of races to pick and choose from, each with detailed descriptions.
Fighting Classes: Roleplayers are asked to abide by Jaharaan tradition and choose one of the classes which fits the chosen race. There are base classes which can level up into advanced classes. Also, there are unique classes for certain races.
Social Classes: Realistic social classes can be chosen for a character, depending on his or her race.
An Encyclopedia: Created so that the members would have extensive knowledge about Jaharaah's races, traditions, history and other aspects, the encyclopedia will continually be under construction until all possible topics have been covered.
Unique, Friendly Members: Every single member has something special to offer Jaharaah, whether it be extraordinary writing skills or a humorous personality. The members all have character and individuality is highly encouraged. Sociability is not an issue with Jaharaah, since they all love to talk in the neighborhood cbox.
A Highly Flexible Plot line: Jaharaah is a very descriptive setting with its own races and traditions; there are certain events taking place and many characters interacting at the same time. However, every member is taken into consideration and the staff will gladly fit any new characters into the plot. Plotting among the members is also a popular activity and certainly wonderful.
Junior(JuneBug) « Result #10 on Dec 10, 2007, 4:45pm »
showname;;JuneBug barn name;;June June(Junior) breed;;Quarter horse age;;7 gender;;gelding height;;15hh physical appearance;;Junior is a strongly built quarter horse. His muscles show in his hind end. His coat gleams a strong and bright chestnut. His figure nice, being half foundation quarter horse. He has the blood lines of a barrel racer and a body like one too. His headset nice and low easy to catch the momentum around those turns. He could run at extreme speeds with this build. Only one problem his knees are weak. He had an accident a long time ago. He had fallen on some rocks in a mountain although his knees are weak he could do these things with some push and the right person. His hair gleams as the sun hits it and his body glistens. Then there is that beautiful white spot on the middle of his forhead when his forlock moves from his face. The spot that looks almost like a pacman. That perfect spot his nice movement as he runs with such a swift movement. His lope so smooth only if you get him there.
personality;;Wow this horse screams personality. He i the type of horse that just doesn't seem to care. He sticks to his people. if he don't know you he pretty much don't care. He catches an attitude as well and can be a handful. Though if you know how to handle him right all that might just pay off in the end. This is definitely not the horse you want to let run you over because he will definitely take advantage of it. if you let him get away with one thing you'll never see the end of it. This horse also can be a very aggresive horse. Yea thats right he has been known to lunge at people ears flattened teeth bared. He drug a girl to the ground before. All in the end he had his one perfect rider the one he loved and cared for....now she is gone she went off to college maybe she'll come back for him one day but for now she is gone. Junior might never be the same horse again....no telling what this horse will do now. He was the perfect little angel around this girl and now she's gone. wild/tamed;; tamed pic:
